A suggestion


No. 5 is a fascinating discussion, and I think Ty could be the first. No. 3 is intriguing too, and I would couple it with a question about maximizing the podium potential come next March. Questions about redshirting a freshman or allowing a veteran a year off to heal 100% are not made in a vacuum. If the coaches feel - looking at their line-up - that the team is one or two years away from peak potential, them maybe the red-shirting and healing questions are no brainers. But if the coming season looks like the best shot at a potential national championship (or at least a high podium finish) then maybe they burn a redshirt and rush an established starter (like McFadden) back sooner. I'd like to see how that podium mentality may play into the decisions this year.
